On September 21, 2018, four children will be going to the United Nations in New York City to present their messages of peace within the framework of the International Day of peace. These children are members of the Child Rights Committee of the Fondation du Dr Julien and will be proudly representing the Canadian delegation that will be heard on Children’s Rights and peace.
Since 1982, the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21. The United Nations invites all nations and people to honour a cessation of hostilities during the Day, and to otherwise commemorate the Day through education and public awareness on issues related to peace.
This initiative has been made possible thanks to the cooperation of the Peace Grantmakers Network and the International Day of Peace Montreal team, as well as Jean Trudel, Founder and President of Circle of Peace, who sits on the International Day of Peace Committee at the United Nations. The Fondation du Dr Julien wishes to thank them sincerely for helping these children live a unique experience at the United Nations, while delivering their message of peace.

This event is an opportunity to salute the many partners who work daily for the well-being of the community.
